Scope of Work

The Barton Road Development is operated by the Wellesley Housing Authority and provides housing for families, the elderly and people with special needs. This project involved the renovation and reconstruction of 15 existing buildings, consisting of 90 affordable housing units originally built in the mid-20th century.

 

This challenging project called for a 5-phase construction plan on an “occupied site” allowing tenants to remain in their units until the new buildings were complete. As part of this project, Boston Building & Bridge constructed entirely new site utilities, parking courts, roads and landscaping which resulted in a complete facelift and modernization for the entire complex. As General Contractor, Boston Building & Bridge also self-performed all of the concrete placement, carpentry and site work.
