Scope of Work

Located on the University of Massachusetts Lowell campus, the Saab Emerging Technologies and Innovation Center is a dynamic hub for cutting-edge advances in nanotechnology, nanomedicine, molecular biology, plastics engineering and optics. 

 

Boston Building & Bridge served as the general contractor for the interior construction of the 3rd and 4th floors of the Saab Center that house research and pharmaceutical laboratories.

 

The work included demolition of existing construction, construction of laboratories, offices and conference rooms and installation of new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems with connection to existing building systems.  In addition, the project required installation and modification of access control/security systems as well as fire detection and suppression systems in this LEED Gold certified building.
